This literally just happened to me, I think I've had these symptoms for like a year or 2 now but I've never said anything about it to anyone cause it didn't happen frequently enough to for me to get too worried. But this time I decided I would look it up and it makes me so relieved to see that so many other people experience this and it isn't just me! It usually just happens when Ive been sitting or laying down for awhile and then when I get up I will get super dizzy, most of the time I can just lean in the wall or hold onto a table and I will be ok in a few seconds, but somethings its not enough and I slowly fall to the floor shaking and I know that's it's happening but I can't do anything about it. After a few seconds I can get up and I feel completely fine except for a little dizziness

I'm 13. Almost every time I stand up I see stars and my vision goes blurry. I feel like I go blind as everything blacks out. When it gets bad (85% of the time) my whole body starts shaking and I loose balance falling to the floor. I can't move for around a minute and I'm left shaking for a good hour. I have no idea what to do as my grandmother days it's something to do with blood pressure.

you are in an age that you are possibly getting height very quickly.your cardiovascular system is not fully adjusted for these changes in your body. blurry vision, scotomas(black out in vision) are due to low blood pressure on your head and eyes.have you also checked your iron levels recently?try to eat well with clean meat and plenty of vegetables and exersice regularly both aerobic and anaerobic.

This happened to me today, i'm 18, for as long as i can remember i get the blacked out vision when i stand up; regardless of whether i stand up slowly or quickly. However today i stood up, didnt move because i felt the blacked out vision coming (becoming light headed comes first, then i see dots and finally i get blacked out vision) once the blacked out vision occurred i instantly just dropped into the position i was in before i stood up despite having room to have fell into a laying down position i was still sat up (however a slight lean backwards in my back). Roughly half a second after falling my whole body shook for no more than 5 seconds i was completely through the duration of falling and shaking. once it finished i was in control again but i was left with a light head (for a few seconds), a headache (for a few minutes- no longer than an hour) and a really harsh pain in my right hand side (which has yet to go away but this only occurred 5 hours ago from posting this thread) whether these symptoms are related im unsure.

This used to happen to me when I was 18 to when i was 20ish. I figured out why I blacked out and got dizzy. Almost every time I stood up my vision went black and I got dizzy sometimes i had to hold onto something sometimes my head would pound a for a few minutes after I got this dizzy spell. See I didn't really drink water I drank a lot of energy drinks and pop (I was working at a warehouse with 10 hour shifts so i needed my caffeine). Well that was one of the triggers to my dizzy spells once i even fainted. It was due to dehydration i went to the Dr. for it. I didn't really believe her but i didn't drink pop or energy drinks for a week just gatorade and water. I must say I felt a lot better after the week of drinking mostly water. See pop and energy drinks dehydrate your body and if you really just drink caffeine you will probably have diarrhea which makes you even more dehydrated because its pushing water out of your system.

So if you're having this issue try cutting out pop and energy drinks and just drink water. Try it for even 2 days your dizzy spells should stop within that time range. I'm 22 now and whenever i drink a lot of pop i can feel the effects of it and it doesn't feel good. So i mostly drink water these days and i haven't had a dizzy spell in the last 2 years.

This has happened twice to me, it's usually when I get up from siting for a while, I just had my second where I got up, was fine for 5 seconds, then fell against the wall, unable to stop shaking, it took roughly 10 seconds and while doing this I couldn't move but i felt the pain in my arm. The first time I fell out of my chair and shook very badly for 5 seconds, my vision went black.
