I had my surgery 24 days ago and is still suffering after every BM. I lost 8 kg's already. I go back to clean several times after BM. It is not easy to take a salt bath when at work. This surgery was terrible. I will not wish this to my worst enemy. I had constant pain for 3 weeks. How long will it take before I can have a normal BM without the swelling and pain afterwards. I try to regulate it so that I need to go evey 2nd day.
This leaves me with a day without pain.
I was wondering how long it was to get over the pain. I suffer too after every BM. I am supposed to go back to work this week, and I still feel no relief. It has only been 2 1/2 weeks since my surgery. I still feel a burning sensation, and especially after a BM, I am tired of taking pain pills and sitz baths. But those are the only things that bring relief. It is fine going to the bathroom, it's just the right after that is irritating & painful hours afterwards. How are you supposed to function at work or just on a daily basis?
Any better edw? I am a month out and I feel much better but I am not completely healed. I went to the doctor and she said it would just take time. I still have swelling and stitches and an open wound, but the swelling goes down a little each day. Don't lose heart. I only take a bath at night now, and it is mostly from irritation. I am also only taking ibuprofen in the am and at night. I am still taking stool softeners and fiber, but am going to to try and cut down to one stool softener and then try to get rid of them all together. As long as it is soft it is ok. The burning is not there anymore! I hope you are also experiencing some improvement!
