I am 32 years old and me and my husband have a very healthy relationship. Most of the time we use protection, but not properly. Last month my period was 6 days late and then normal for 4 days. This month i was due to start on the 23rd but i started lightly spotting on the 22nd. The light spotting continued through the 25th, but mostly when i used the bathroom. I could have used the same pad all 5 days lol it was always light pink and never brown. I took a test yesterday the 27 and it was negative. I am moody, tired, not having regular BM's and i am having hot flashes at night. I am not sure if I want to be pregnant because our 2 children we have are 11 and 8 and we are enjoying the independance they have lol.  But i would rather be pregnant than to have something wrong with me.  I just dont have insurance, so i just want to make sure i have enough insight on what i could be going through so that my money isant wasted and i get all my questions answered in the first expensive doc visit. lol If anyone has gone through the same thing and you have your end results already or just have some insight for me i would really appreciate your input. Thank you!!

This is a shot in the dark but you may be having some early sign's of menopause. I know it may sound far fetched but my grandmother went thru her change at 39 and my mom at 40. Mine started when i was 43. It is premature, but it does happen. I am not saying that this is what your problem is, but it's worth a thought. Having no insurance is a hugh problem, so if you go to the doctor, write everything down so you don't forget an important question. Ask him to do a blood workup on your hormone's, he will be able to tell if you have a depletion somewhere and can treat it with medication.

Good luck and let me know what you think.

bbfeet9 -  thank you for your reply. I have thought about that, but it would actually be called perimenopause which can affect women my age. I have thought about it being a few other things as well, like a hormone imbalance. I am going to try some things I can do to help. like taking out carbs and simple sugars in my diet and exercising more. I am not going to stress over it too bad. I was just a little concerned because i have never had a period like that before. I have spotted before, but usually i will spot for a day or two then I will start my normal period. I have consistent periods every 30 - 33 days and i have normal flow for 3 - 4 days. I am going to wait it out and see what happens. I will repost any changes. Or progress. :-)

I think the hardest thing for me to deal with throught all this crazyness is the mood swings. I feel like crying a third of the time, ripping someones head off a third of the time and tired the other third. lol What a rollercoaster!!!
