I have to admit that I am very mad with my father because he did not tell me anything about his heart problems which led to a heart attack. Actually, I am not sure if he had the attack at all; he mentioned it casually and said that the C protein levels were very high when he checked in at the doctor couple of days ago… How is higher C reactive protein level associated with heart failure?

Well, I guess he did not want you to worry that much about him, but I will tell you that it most probably was a heart failure, a heart attack most likely. In that case, there is a certain amount of the heart muscle tissue that is literally destroyed and is consumed by white blood cells. In that moment, C protein is produced and it is a certain sign that there has been some serious heart trouble.
