Hi! My father went to doctor yesterday and his diagnosis is pulmonary heart disease. I’m worried a lot because I don’t know too much about this disease. I know that almost any chronic lung disease can cause it. Please, can somebody tell me how is pulmonary heart disease treated? Thanks!

My father also has pulmonary heart disease and I know something more about it. The treatment of pulmonary heart disease largely rests with treating the underlying cause and supportive measures. Oxygen therapy may slow progression. Vasodilators such as the calcium channel blockers may be particularly useful in reducing the pressure of the pulmonary circulation.
