i have only started taking the pill this week and on the first day that i started taking them i had sex and the condom split, does this mean i am going to get pregnant or am i thinking to much in to it?

If this happened on the first day of the b.c., then you were not protected against pregnancy yet. You are protected from pregnancy after a whole cycle on the pill.
