How long it takes to get pregnant is not neccessarily related to birth control usage in the past.  People who never take birth control may get pregnant the very first time they have sex, or five years later.  Further, some women may become pregnant on birth control, or simply when they skip a few pills.  There are many variables involved in becoming or not becoming pregnant.  f you think about this scientifically it will remove a lot of the confusion/regrets that you may be having.

Don't worry about the missed period. My periods have always been wacky with or without the birth control. Even on birth control I would miss a month here and there, and most recently havne't had a period in three months. It's all about hormones and stress. Sometimes they'll recommend you to switch birth control types. Most likely though it's stress. Have you been under any unusual stress lately?

I took OVRAl Oral Contraceptives starting in Jan.1971-Jan.1974. It took me 11 mos. to conceive. Found out later that there was too much Progesterone in it. Probably less is used now. Also there have been studies that say the BC pill does not always prevent ovulation but causes early abortions. You will most likely conceive but not sure how long it will take. My advice is to not use OCS as birth control. Use a spermicidal foam. After the birth of my first son, we used it. I conceived the second time when I wanted to.

So... I had the implant in for over 2 years took it out and didn't start a period at all for over 6 months. All the pregnancy test were negative. So I went to the doctor they said to get on the pill, I did and started my period the first month on the pill. I stayed in the pill for three months then stopped taking it. If I was on the pill I would have started my period almost a week ago so I'm guessing I'm late. I don't know if I'm pregnant I was on here to see how long it takes to get pregnant after the pill. I'll keep yall updates but I'm scared that my body is messed up cause the implant. If anyone has any advice please email me. I need all the help I can get thanks in advance.
