Hello i am 23 years old and have been suffering from weird feelings in my body. These feelings range from getting highly stressed to headaches and a disoriantated feeling. I feel like it is hard to breathe and like i have a lump in my throat. These sensations com and go regularly. I often turn to alcohol because it seems to work but drinking is not a good way to deal with this. Anybody know whats going on.

What you describe definitely does sound like anxiety disorder. Most people think anxiety is just about persistent worry about yourself, people around you or things. And worrying is a big part of anxiety, but that worry becomes even bigger problem because it leads to series of physical symptoms like increased heart rate and troubles with breathing. When you’re anxious your muscles tense and you start having problems with sleeping and eating. Tense muscles in your throat are in fact the reason you feel like there is a lump - your throat is narrower when muscles are tensed. So, stay away from alcohol because it will only make things worse and go and see your doctor so he could give you some anti anxiety medications or therapy.
