I'm hoping someone can give me some insight into my situation.
I am 21 years old and have had heavy, painful periods since I started menstruating. They have also always been sporadic-- usually only once every few months. I have gone as long as eight months without getting my period (and not being pregnant). My doctor has done an array of tests on me, and in the latest sent me to get a uterine ultrasound. The test results came back that I have what is called a "prominent uterus". I was told to find an OB-GYN and have them examine the problem. The only problem is that I'm in the process of moving and I haven't found one under my insurance yet. Is this something I need to get checked out immediately? Is there any information about this condition you can give me?

Holly,
Have you ever looked into getting treated with Maya Abdominal Massage?
arvigoinstitute.org
They focus on figuring out if your uterus is in its proper anatomical location as a displaced uterus can cause the symptoms you listed and many more. Then the practitioner does a series of massages and techniques to help reposition your uterus if it is..
Good luck,
K
