I decide to go online & find why my mouth is always salty & came across this. I was taking mucinex for sinus drain & zyrtec for allergies. The reason I took zyrtec was because my nose itches so bad. I stopped taking them over a week ago & that was when I noticed the salty taste in my mouth. My nose now drips out of the blue. I also have elevated blood pressure so I have to take blood pressure meds. I was worried that I have been eating a lot of processed foods which are very high in sodium so I try to eat healthier diet. My blood pressure went down somewhat maybe because of changed diet & meds. But my mouth is still salty. I try to drink water a lot & make sure I have my flavored tictac. I am thinking of taking zyrtec again to stop drippy nose. I'll see what happens.
