Ok, for some reason logic does not make my fear go away. Im on the pill and have been for a few months, i was on my period and my b/f didnt use a condom for the first bit of us having sex, then sumthin came up and we couldnt continue anyways, but im scared because ive heard so many stories from back in highschool and things people say to scare you from having sex, about, that you can get preg even if the guy does not cum, you can get preg if he penetrates you without a condom, and just, tons of stuff saying you can get preg even if the guy does not cum in you. Is this true? and if im not on my period what about then? tho i am ofcourse on the pill. Please help me clarify these myths so i can stop being so scared. I dont know what id do if i got pregnant, besides an abortion, which i dont know emotionally what thatd do to me.

For a warning.... you CAN get pregnant on the pill. Especially if you are on Antibiotics of any kind. ALWAYS use back up protection if you do not want to get pregnant. There are plenty of things you can do other than a condom.

The pill is 99% effective when taken everyday, you cannot really get better than that unless you just stop having sex alltogether.

99% still is not 100%, both of my daughters were conceived while I was on the pill (and yes it was taken every day the same time - wonderful doctor knowledge about antibiotics in the early 90's however wasn't up to par apparently.)

Simply said however, you CAN get pregnant while on the pill, and always use back up contraception if you absolutely do not want to risk anything. There is a reason that multiple forms of birth control can be used together.

Nothing is fool proof except not having sex, agreed, but by using multiple methods then the chances of pregnancy are even less, not to mention STD transmission.
