I am currently 17 with an irregular cycle that had ran upto 42 days, plus my five days of bleeding. On the 21st day of my cycle I stupidly had unprotected sex with no ejaculation. It is the 38th day of my cycle currently and I am experiencing cramps, sore nipples (not breasts), accompanied by overwhelming sense of paranoia, as I was aware of the posibility of sperm in pre-cum. For the last few days I did not experience any vaginal discharge, just sharp cramps in the lower stomache area and thighs. As silly as it sounds. when I look at myself i nthe mirror I'm recultant to relax my stomach mucles as my stoache becomes buldged(probibly due to fat), adding to my anxiety. I am planning on taking a takehome pregnancy test tomorrow and another a few days later to double check.

I am very worried for my future as well as my boyfriends. Can anyone offer some possible explanation of why my body is releasing mixed signals, why my period is taking so long to come, and most important of all what are the chances that I am prego?

thank you in advance for replies

The last time I had my period it was due to Plan B out of paranoia, would that have any effect on my period?

I wouldn't say it's out of the realm of possibility that you have psyched your body into screwing up.

I have heard of people who's period is skipped, simply due to stress levels. Or at least delayed by several days.

Go get the HPT and take it. That'll be your best indicator, short of going to see the medical clinic.

Im going to go pee on a stick in a few hours. Its not going to be the first time i pee today, is that factor going to affect the result of the test? I've also heard that the take home tests may not be very accurate as it may not pick up on the hormone level if you are pregnanat.

So how accurate is it percentage wise, any idea?

I've also read that Plan B can delay period, did they mean the one I'm about to have after taking the pill or the next normal cycle?

So the test came out negative, and I'm still waiting on my period. I'm probably going to take another test in a few days to double check, in case my hormone level wasn't high enough to be detected (if I was pregnant). Should I go to a doctor if my period still doesn't show after tat?

Hi there, your period can be up to 90 days late before you really need to worry about going to a doctor. Stress can cause you to skip a period, okay? I would wait about a week and take another test, so at least you'd be able to tell if you're pregnant or not. Does that help you get your bearings a little better?
