The same thing happened to me.... :$
I just ended my period on Monday (september 17th), then me and my boyfriend had intercouse and the condom broke at 2am on Wednesday (september 19th)...scared as we were, we rushed down to CVS the same morning and got Plan B I took the first one at 10:25 am (8hrs later). That night I took it as directed 12hrs later at 10:25 pm. Then later on Friday I became sick--upper respiratory tract-- (loosing voice, soar throat, sneezing, nausea etc...) Satruday (september 22nd) I took a Equate allergy relief pill based on the pharmistists suggestion at walmart for the soar throat and sneezing to alleviate the pain, then at approximatly 8pm saturday night I started to bleed heavy. It is now Sunday (september 23rd)...I was in the bathroom this morning violently ill...felt as though I was going to throw up, I gagged approx 10 times but nothing came out my stomach felt as though it was churning, my arms felt dead and limp and I just felt dizzy and light headed at approximatly 10 am and lasted for probably 8 minutes, Im still bleeding heavy, and feel a little nausea.
I guess what my question is, is do you think I might be pregnant? Do you think what Im experiencing is just from the upper respitory cold or not? What might be causing the heavy bleeding? Is it normal after the Plan B? How soon should I take a home pregnacy test so it will show correct results?
When we went to the CVS Pharmacy, the Pharmacist told us that he dont think I am, but he suggested that I stop taking the allergy pills just to let my body calm down and clear out.

I have the same type of experience
You see I ended my period on Monday (September 17th), me and my boyfriend had intercouse at 2 AM on Wednesday (September 19th) and the condom broke... so at 10 AM we rushed down and got PLAN B so I took it exactly 8 hrs after the experience. Then I got sick from an upper respiratory tract cold on Friday (September 21st). I took an alergy pill on Saturday (Septemeber 22nd) at 4 PM and I started bleeding heavy at 8 PM. Then Sunday when I got, at approx. 10 AM I got violentl ill in the bathroom, and gaged as thought I was going to throw up about 12 times, my stomach killed and felt like my organs were churing, my whole limbs felt nauseas, and I felt very dizzy and faint. Since then it is now Monday (September 24th) and I have very light blood it seems to be ending.
Do you thing I might be pregnant? or is this a good sign that Im bleeding? When I went to CVS the pharmasist said that he thinks between the two pills and my cold the chemicals interacted and it might just be hormonal changes, so he predicted that Im not. Please resopond ASAP.

I took plan B due to an accident as well and started my period like a week later. I bled for almost ten days and it was heavy all the way through. Now I am waiting on my next period, and am anxious to have it start. The day I expected it has come and gone. I assume since I have had a period since I took Plan B that there's no issue, but still would love for the next period to come. My situation sounds similar to everyone elses, but would love to know if this is somewhat normal with plan b.

I took the plan b pill in the summer in june and july a total of three times. At first my periods where coming on early all of the time. I thought I had taken too much and my body had to get back inline. Now here I am practically a year later and my periods got normally for march and april but just started yesterday and today it's the heaviest I've every seen in my life!! I have to change my pad every 45 minutes and it's really really full! I've changed pants three times today and I couldn't stay out very long because I could feel my pad getting too full. And my cramps hurt so bad it feels like braxton hicks contractions!!! This is the first time it's been this bad. I also have been trying to get pregnant and have been unsuccessful. My husband is beginning to think I can't get pregnant again. I did my physical and it came up with no problems. Do I need a special test?

I actually did have protected sex and then we discovered that the condom broke so within the next 2 days I got the Plan B pill. I got my period right on time on June 11th-16th. And everything was fine. THEN it came back 6 days later on the June 22nd, except it didn't look like a normal period, it was really dark. So I asked my friends if it had happened to them before and they all said yes and there was nothing to worry about. It is now JULY 3RD!!!! And it's still here! I know it has to be from this damn pill, when is it going away???

I am worried about the exact same thing! I took Plan B after the condom broke on August 28. I took it an hour after sex (just wanted to take it asap!). 5 days after taking the pill i came on my period. This is really wierd as i was two weeks early and it was a brown colour the whole way through. In addition to this, it lasted about 5 days, which is wierd for me as my periods usually last a whole 7 or 8 days. Now i am due on my period at the normal time i am supposed to. I guess what i'm basically asking is, was my "period" on the 2nd September an actual period? or was it just side effects from the pill? I am freaking out a little bit and am too scared to take a pregnancy test! I'm only 17! I think that there is a good chance that i am not pregnant if i was bleeding, right?

I took it about a week ago and expected my period on the 9th, its only four days late so I'm not too concerned yet. I'll just wait a week and see what happens. Any input "pregomommy" or others?

Plan B will cause all of you ladies to have irregular periods, including longer or shorter ones, with variations of colors and heaviness.
If its brown thats fine, its just dried up blood, nothign to worry about.
The only thing is, ive been bleeding for almost two weeks now after takig a plan B. Thats the only thing Im worried about. And the bleeding isn't getting any lighter, its still moderate.
I should take my own advice, but ive taken plan B plenty of times before (yes very bad I know) and ive never had this problem.

I havent took any pregnancy tests, but I already have a child I don't have any symptoms that I could be pregnant just according to my last pregnancy. Could I be pregnant again?

I am on birth control pills and i missed a pill during the second week of my cycle (the light blue pills). My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex, but he did not ejaculate. Just to be safe I took plan b within 30 minutes of that episode, and took the second pill as directed 12 hours later. I also continued on my birth control normally. I had no immediate side effects from plan b such as nausea, in fact, i felt fine. During the fourth week (the placebo week when i should get my period) i started a light period on that Tuesday. It was heavy and brown on that Wednesday, but stopped on Thursday and has not come back. I'm not sure if this was my period of implantation bleeding. My breasts were sore a few days ago, but not anymore, and other than that, i exhibit no other symptoms of pregnancy. I took a pregnancy test yesterday morning and it was negative, but it might be too soon to test.
Do you think this is just an effect of plan b?

you guys me too!!!!
i had unprotected sex in january, but took plan b with in 24 hours. and had my period a week early... then at the end of it (i was pretty much done with my period) i had sex (protected) again.. now i'm not sure when my 2nd period after taking plan b will start!
i was talking to my boyfriend, who did a little research, and said that plan b can mess up a cycle a lot, it causes the period to start up to a week after taking plan b, but then can cause your next period after that up to 6 weeks later!!!!!
But we had protected sex one other time after that.. i shouldn't be freaking out should i?
i wasn't on the pill before...... %-)

If you are having an irregular period (shorter, longer, lighter, heavier) after taking Plan B it is because of the HIGH dose of hormones you are receiving.
The hormones are trying to have you NOT get pregnant. They are trying to:
interfere with ovulation, interfere with fertilization, interfere with implantation.
So really, it's an extremely high dose of birth control so that your body reacts to it immediately. This is why you usually have a period sooner, or spotting and a period later and other symptoms of the like. Your cycle might even be off-kilter for a few months.
IF you are bleeding *more* than normal: that's normal and harmless.
IF you are spotting a few days after you take the pill: also normal and harmless.
IF the pill makes your period early or late: also normal and harmless
IF your period is irregular for a few months: normal and harmless
IF you entirely miss your period: take a pregnancy test 7 days after the day you normally get your period.
IF you start getting pain in your abdomen (not cramps, i mean bad pain) about 5-12 days after taking the pill: Call your doctor immediately. You could have an ectopic pregnancy. This means a pregnancy in your fallopian tubes rather than your uterus.
When will your cycle get back to normal?: Every woman is different and there really is no accurate way to tell.
*note*: Plan B is not a regular form or birth control. It is less effective and is harder on your body. That's why Plan B is considered an "emergency" contraceptive.
