Hi Tyson! I'm sorry to hear that. I read that for some people it may be a lifelong condition. But it can be improved or relieved through treatment so try to follow strictly all advices your doctor gave you. I know you already know it but regular exercise and improved sleep habits may reduce anxiety and help relieve bowel symptoms. Take care.

Hi Tyson,Just wanted to say i am a 45 yr old Male and i've had to live with diagnosed I.B.S since i was about 19 years old.I have tried all sort of remedies but i have found most to be next to useless. Now i avoid certain types of food(Mince, spicy, fatty food are worst)if possible.Just about everything give me problem sometimes and i have had real problems with my work(im a U.K Postal worker).Jut trying to get to a toilet sometimes has led to some embarrasing panics and i had one nightmare attack whilst on holiday in Abu Dhabi which id like to forget! It becomes 'normal' in the end to have loose motions and this seems to build up a total change in your routine of work and social life. The worst thing for me is the lack of support from people at work or even home-life who don't suffer and seem to enjoy rediculing me for having a 'weak-stomach'or 'poor cotitution'.i was ejected from the British Army at 19 for it'Unsuitable for service' and this caused much disapointment from my Father from which i have never recovered so it has deeply affected me over the year.On a positive note i have managed to live a full and interesting life, met my wife and marry, had children, ridden the TT circuit on a powerful motorbike, travelled the world all while struggling with I.B.S.I use non-precription Imodium (cheaper)to control my stomach during bad days and avoid Baked Beans like the plauge!Hope this help you undertand that Many people have similar problem to you.It' not the end of the World:You are not alone,yOU CAN GET THROUGH IT WITH A LITTLE HELP AND SUPPORT Yours Bikerboy32
