i have an irritated taint. (the area between my testicles and anus) It has been getting red and itchy every couple of months There is a seam between my anus and penis which becomes inflamed and red. I am sexually active with a partner and have unprotected sex. He has no symptoms of any std's. I saw my family doctor and he gave me a cream which gave me some relief however, only temporary. A friend told me to see the free clinic doctor because they may be more familiar with this condition than my family doctor.

I must agree with your friend. Since you have this condition on a regular basis every few months it is time to seek another opinion.
Your family doctor gave you a cream and didn’t think of sending you to the specialist which is a little bit strange but one more reason to see a doctor on a free clinic. And I would take a partner as well. It doesn’t matter if she doesn’t have any symptoms, it is always better to be safe than sorry.
And since your infection hurts there is no point in waiting so check what is going oin as soon as possible. and keep us posted about your condition and diagnosis of course.
