Hello. I'm 20 year old male and just recently a friend has told me one thing that got me worried. He told me that he has only have one testicle. At first, I though it was some joke and nothing more but then after- he told me he didn’t joke about it and that this story about single testicle it is completely truth.
It was like that since he was born.
It doesn’t seam to me like he is bothered with this that much! Please tell me this couldn’t be truth!
What are the possible causes of this condition?
Could he develop some problems later in life with, for example, with erection or ability to have children?
Help me to understand this weird condition!

Hi. I must tell you that there is nothing weird or impossible about this condition that your friend mentioned you.
You probably know that your testicles started to develop when you were a tiny fetus, but you probably don’t know that they are descending from your abdomen.
Approximately about a month before birth, the testicles normally completely descend into the scrotum.
In about 3–4% of boys- this doesn’t happen and one testicle stuck somewhere in abdomen. This condition should be evaluated by a doctor because sometimes undescended could develop into cancer. There are also some artificial implants that could be implanted into empty scrotum.
