well i just started taking birth control again, after being off of it for over a year... me and my boyfriend have always had unprotected sex though, and my first period while on my birth control is unusually light, like there's almost no blood at all! but my periods before this were unusually heavy, i'd go through a super plus tampon in less than three hours and now i dont go through even close to half of one in an entire day. last time i was on birth control my periods weren't even close to this light. so is this just something to do with me starting birth control again, or is it implantation bleeding... can someone please tell me.

It could be that you are just getting used to being off the pill. Everyone is different. The only way to tell if you are pregnant is to wait it out until your next cycle is due, then you can take a HPT when and if you are late for your next cycle.

The newer lower dose pills out now, like ortho low, YAZ, and loestrin, cause periods to be lighter and shorter!
Many women like this, but it can cause worry too.

IF you had a miscarriage, a pregnancy test would show up as positive up to 2 weeks after.
ANYTIME you miss a pill, even JUST one, you will have bleeding later because of the disruption of hormones.
