Hello, my mother has rheumatoid arthritis and has been dealing with that fro three years now. First symptoms showed with the beginning of menopause. These two medications you mention are actually one same medication, with a popular brand name Arava. They are used for dealing with rheumatoid arthritis and their main effect is anti pyretic, analgesic and anti inflammatory. It will help your mother with subduing the symptoms of her condition. So, guess you do not have to worry about that "other" drug anymore.
