My mother suffers from rheumatoid arthritis and she has a hard time dealing with that condition. She changed a lot of drugs, but now, beside anti inflammatory drug, Celebrex, that helps her with RA symptoms, she started taking Tramadol and she says that it is an excellent drug and she does not feel any pain anymore. Is this combination of drugs safe?

Most common combination with these kind of drugs is that that include NSAID drug and non inflammatory drug too. As for the drug you are mentioning, Tramadol, it is analgesic pain reliever. It is produced as a synthetic derivate of morphine. She should be very careful with that drug, because it really deals with the pain, but can cause tolerance.
