I have had the same issue! I took lexapro for a month and when I stopped taking it I developed acne all over my cheeks. I had previously never experienced acne like this or in this location. I have always got one or two deep cysts on my chin every month around the time of my period. These were surface pimples and were practically covering my cheeks!! It was truly unbelievable. It took seven months to clear up but I still have scarring. I really want to try another antidepressant but I'm afraid it will produce similar side effects upon withdrawal.

I was on Lexa pro for 5 years and decided to get off of it. I tapered over 4 wks taking only 1/2 vtab, then none. Although my mind seems so much clearer now, I have had a terrible outbreak of cystic acne around nose area and Mouth corners and chin. Trying over the counter med like deffin, etc... Need this to stop!

I am slowing getting off lexapro with a doctor. just went to 1/2 the dosage for the last 2.5 weeks and acne has taken over my body! and same as others say, it's painful and cystic. I'm 40 yrs old! I hope this clears up soon but I think not because I still.have to do several weeks at every other day dosage before completely off.

Nat, I'm going through the same thing. How have things improved for you? I am reaching out to my dermatologist about this and want to know if anyone's already found a solution, or if it just returns to equilibrium eventually
