Hi, I am 26 years old and have been married for over 2 years. Starting last month, me and my husband are trying to have a baby.

Just to better inform you, my last period started on December 7, 2012 and ended on December 14, 2012. From there on, we had sex without condoms and I was waiting for my next period to be around January 7, 2013 or if conceived no period at all.

No symptoms of period were evident on January 7, 2013 and I took this as an initial positive sign. We planned to do a pregnancy 2 weeks later, but to my surprise and shock, I was bleeding very lightly at the vagina on January 11, 2013. It was so light that it only created spots on the tissue and the toilet was not reddish after urinating, which is the usual case when I have a period. Looking at some posts on the internet, I got to know this light bleeding can occur if pregnancy does occur.

The main shock came this morning, January 18, 2013, when I took the pregnancy test at home and the result came out to be negative. According to result, I AM NOT PREGNANT. Also, I noticed a moderate amount of vaginal bleeding, more than the ones I have been having in the last couple of days, but not severe enough to match my usual period.

Now, I did have delayed period (30+ days) often, but whenever it happened, the blood amount was moderate. So, why am I having such symptom now, which coincides with an attempt to have a baby?

Your suggestions would be appreciated.
