Hi, my mother is 57 years old and few weeks ago doctors discovered that she is suffering from breast carcinoma. After she made all analyses which her doctor requested he told her that it would be done total mastectomy in order to prevent further spreading of cancer. It was pretty shocking information for her and she is very depressive right now. I don't know how to help her and in the same time I do understand that it is only way to try to stop this severe disease.

Hi, mastectomy is very big problem for every woman. It is big surgical intervention where her breast will be removed same as other lymphatic glands from surrounding area. After that she will have to start with chemotherapy or radiotherapy. However the most important thing is to eliminate cancer and after that she may put implants and reconstruct her breast like it was before.
