A woman I know in the Philippines recently had a cyst removed from her breast that had a cancer cell. The doctor told her she was cancer free now. A week later there was a lump found below her other breast on her rib cage that is also malignant. She is having a laser treatment for this to shrink it. This say this is very effective. But they say nothing about Kimo after the procedure. Is it always necessary or is this just the difference in another country's procedure?

Chemp is not always conducted, but it should be if the cancer was malignant.

Hi there,
Chemotherapy is a procedure which helps your body to fight the cancer and to stop the cancer from spreading. Now the thing is that your doctor has to tell you when you need chemotherapy and when there is no need for it. It is usually done with surgery to stop the cancer for growing again. This is a procedure that takes long period of time and it is not easy to bare. It is not important from which country she is but in what state is her health and the progress of her cancer. I hope that this helped you clear few questions and that your friend will get better soon.

All the best,
Danella
