My girlfriend is 2 months late. she last had period first week of feb.08. when i met her. she has taken multiple preg. urine tests. she has had bad pain which she describes as cramps. we have also felt something like a bone in her abdomen. she has seen a doctor and has only been given instructions to go for an ultrasound later this week and more blood tests. she has been to emergency room already for pain but it seems there is no sense of urgency with the doctors, what should i do ? i am right by her side and just want to make sure she is taken care of. has anyone been through this?

I take it that these pregnancy tests are negative??
Without a medical history and tests no one can say what it is...but there are a number of things that it COULD be. But if her pregnancy test was negative theres not really anything "critical" to worry about. I know pain can be horriable and I hope they have given her some good pain meds but whether its an Ovarian cysts, endometriosis, or something completely different its hard to say.... The ultrasound should provide some answers but it might not... I have seen quite a few ladies not get an answer until they got exploratory surgery (its a simple procedure with a laproscope....a tiny incision is made to use a scope to look inside and see what's going on.) I hope that isn't necessary and the ultrasound yields answers for the two of you.
I must commend you for standing by her side through all of this....specially since you just started going out...that is pretty impressive.
