Finding:  There is normal alignment of the vertebral bodies.  Degenerative disk disease is seen at L4-L5 and L5-S1.  L5-S1 demonstrates a small central disk bulge with associated annular tear.  There is no evidence of central canal stenosis, however, there is mild encroachment on the right lateral recess.  No significant neural foraminal narrowing is identified.L4-L5 demonstates a mild central disk bulge with associated annular tear, without significant central stenosis or neural foraminal narrowing.No other significant disk bulge or protrusion is seen throughout.The conus medullaris is unremarkable.  The marrow signal signal intensity is unremarkable.IMPRESSION: Mild disc bulges at L4-L5 and L5 and S1 with associated annular tears, and mild right lateral recess encroachment at L5-S1.Please tell me what this all means, and will I be able to do any heavy ligting again?  Will I require surgery possible?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
