My period WONT stop! please help! 

I've been on birth control for 5+ years. and Ive been on this same particular brand of birth control for over a year.

My birth control is the type where you take it for 3 months and THEN have your period, so therefore the last time i had a period was 3 months ago (which was normal and short)

Recently, I tried to go on my period by stopping the regular BC pills, and it took 4 days for my period to start (which is normal for me). It started off normal, and then just never ended. After waiting 7 days, i started taking my pills again (because thats what the dr has always told me to do) and now its been 7 MORE days (taking the pill each night) and it still hasnt stopped.

Along with the prolonged bleeding, ive had more than usual small blood clots, and the flow doesnt seem to be slowing down. It's not super heavy anymore however its not light.

 

D: please tell me what to do! I dont want to be on my period forever!
