OK I'm on Kariva and I take it every day at the same time and I don't miss any pills. But when it comes time for my sugar pills I never have gotten my period during them I always get it the first week I start the new pack. Last months sugar pills were the 19-25 on the 26th the day I started the new pack I started bleeding, I thought I had gotten my period like normal. But, by the next morning it was gone already. I didn't even bleed that much It was pretty much spotting.
I have had signs and symptoms that could be associated with pregnancy. but I have taken so many pregnancy tests and they all come back negative. I have stopped taking birth control and restrained from having sex.
I think I may be pregnant but am not sure. I stopped taking the pills 10days ago. Would I have started a cycle by now if I wasn't pregnant? should i be concerned. Or should I start a new pack? ?

Hi:
Birth control pills can make you very irregular, especially when you stop taking them. This irregularity can go on for months. Have you ever discussed using a different brand of birth control pills? Perhaps the brand you are taking, for whatever reason, is not right for you. Birth control pills, in a way, make your body think that you are pregnant. However, if there is a possibility that you could be pregnant, take a home test. If it's too early though, your home test may no have correct results. Go to an ob/gyn and have a "professional" test taken to be sure. You don't have to guess here. Have good conversation with the doctor. You can also get a lot of info from his/her office about birth control methods. Ask questions and keep asking until you get the answers that you need. There is a solution for this type of problem....Let us know how it goes.
