ok so im 22 i dont think ive had a period for 4+ months my periods have always been irregular. im overweight (280 lbs). and at the moment im getting brown lumpy discharge and abit of red blood (only tiny bit) and tiny brown specks often. i have no itching or anything. i have been sexual active with the same man for 7 years and dont use protection. please help very worried and i hate going to doctors (havent been since 2007 when i got my last set of pill)! thanks in advance

Well, it just isn’t about whether you like doctors or not (most of us don’t like seeing one, too) but at your age period that is this irregular means that your ovulation cycle probably is not as it is supposed to be, so chances of you becoming a mother are smaller if you don’t find out what is the cause behind this. This may be the way your cycle is – all women are different, after all, but four months is just too much. The reason for this, besides weight, could be some problem related directly to your reproductive organs and that is why you need to go and see the doctor, like it or not. Wish you the best!
