Hello, folks. I have heard for both N-acetylcysteine and cysteine. I must admit that I don’t know what exactly they are used for. Perhaps someone from you will help. I would gladly hear out your opinions. Can anyone help? I would really appreciate it if anyone could reply to my post. Bye!

Hi. N-acetylcysteine is derived from cysteine. The first one is a mucolytic agent. It makes mucus in respiratory airways less thick. In that way, it is easier to eliminate it. In combination with other drugs, it is used for treating chronic obstructive disease. Cysteine is amino-acid. It is mostly used for body’s detoxification. It is best to sue it with vitamins E, C and B6. People with impaired immune system should use it.
