I had a miscarriage on June 3rd and had the depo vera put on that same day. They told me no sex for at least 2 wks. Funny thing is that I didn't even bleed after the miscarriage.. I only spotted for about 2 days and then it went away. Haven't been on my period since then. My question is that If i had sex about 5 days after the miscarriage Could I have come out pregnant again? Or does the depo take effect immediately? I have been gaining weight and I was wondering if I should go get a check up to make sure i'm fine??

Just so you know the shot will make you gain weight. And the more shots the more you will gain. The shot does not go infect right away if it was your very first one, for the first time. SO, you may want ot get checked out.
