Hi, I'm new to Nuva Ring (only been on if for 4 days), but I am seriously considering removing it. It's made me feel bloated, irritable, and emotional, but worst of all, I've developed 6 or 7 huge acne cysts on my lower back. They are like giant painful bumps. I've never been able to take any kind of bc because of the horrible acne it caused. I know the Drs. say to give each bc 3 months, but I don't know if I'm willing to wait and see if the acne gets better or worse. I had a horrible experience with OrthoCyclen after only 2 months. My ENTIRE chest was literally covered in zits, and the doctor I saw at the time said if I ever have a reaction like that w/ anything, to stop taking it IMMEDIATELY.

Well, my question is this.......should I remove the Nuva Ring after only 4 days because of the painful acne cysts it has caused, or will they eventually go away once my body adjusts to Nuva Ring? My bf hates condoms, so this was my only option as I do not want an IUD and I apparently can't take anything hormone-related anyway. Please help! I don't know what to do, but I'm already miserable after only 4 days because of all the acne cysts. Should I stick it out and see if it gets better or simply just take it out now??!!
