You didn't get the extra pounds overnight, so don't expect to lose weight over night.

Loosing weight is a hard and very long process so don't expect miracles overnight.

If you are not satisfied with the way your body looks and feel like you could lose some weight, then get started. Don't just sit around and wait for the extra pounds you have to go away on their own.

Different diets, fat burning pills, every other method you could think of, or even not eating won't help you lose weight. The results from all these methods mentioned above will be only temporary and once you quit them you will start gaining weight again (in some cases even more than you used to have before).

The key to a successful weight loss is to change the way you live and eat.

If you used to sit in front of the TV or PC for a couple of hours a day, don't do it anymore. Instead, go for a nice walk or a run. Go to the gym couple of times a week, for a swim or any other sport that you like.

If you used to eat hamburgers, sandwiches, donuts, chocolates and have a soda with every meal, don't do it anymore. Try eating more soups, salads, fruits and vegetables and of course drink a lot of water. Daily you should drink 2-3 l of water.

Healthy food combined with a lot of exercise will definitely make you lose weight.

Very important while you are trying to lose weight is to set a real goal that you can achieve. Instead of wanting to lose 5 pounds in a week, be more realistic and set your goal to 1-2 pounds.

Instead of taking the elevator, take the stairs.

Instead of a full plate try reducing the amount of the food you eat, and eat healthy. Never fill a plate twice.

Never skip breakfast as it is the most important meal. Try not to eat a late dinner and especially not before going to bed. Your last meal should be at least 3 hours before going to sleep. This will let your body enough time to process the food.

Never starve yourself, because it will shut down your metabolism, make you tired and even more hungry.

Have a good sleep (7-8 hours) as your body and metabolism will need it.

Drink a lot of fluids like water and tea. Avoid juices and sodas with a lot of sugar. Avoid alcoholic drinks.

Be strong and patient.

Don't think about how you gained weight, and how you look fat and ugly. Instead, take a good look at yourself and say that you will lose weight. Start exercising and eating healthy today.
