Birth Control: the pill or mirena?

I am really bad with remembering to take medicine, I first started out with the depo shot and got pregnant twice on it, along with four of my friends who were on it too. So after my second daughter I opt for the mirena. Personally I thought the procedure of the doctor putting it in was unpleasant. I also had horrible cramping after. I had it in for a year and in that year I bled more than I've ever bled before and had horrible cramps almost on a regular basis. Also it gave me horrible ovarian cysts which covered my ovaries. It got so bad that I just pulled the damn thing out myself in the bathroom. I also know a good amount of women who used it and it worked for not getting them pregnant, but caused other problems. So after my son I opt for the implanan, which is a little stick like implant that is put into your arm. I had to have that removed two months later, because it was giving me really bad mood swings. I have found that the nuva ring works best. No surgical procedure, only have to worry about it once a month, and it's all do it yourself. Hope this helps.

thanks a bunch for that! my aunt has mirena and she said that she hasnt had any problems with it. she suggested it to me because my periods are horrible. i think ill keep exploring my options. thanks so much!

omg i have the mirena its good to a point like i have had it for 5months now an latley its been botherin me i bleed alot now an feel alot of cramps...i mean dont ge me wrong but i myself rather have the pill...it might be different with u i hope soooo an good luck :)
