Hi I haven't seen my period for almost eight months now, I'm not pregnant. I use to take injections (birth control) but I stopped it about 3 months now, is this something normal, I had irregular periods growing up, I'm 25 and I am hoping that this is not something serious, I am thinking of taking a pill to bring down my period, do you think that is ok????

How long where you on B/C and what brand was it? I would do some research about the b/c you were on since I have heard on many occasions of b/c stopping a woman's period for quite a lengthy time and even causing internalization for a section of time also. I hope for my sake I am partly wrong about what I said, mostly just giving my two thoughts to try and help you out. Good luck tho, hope you get things figured out.

The first thing that comes to my mind is the fact that a lot of birth controls can effect your fertility. I would go see your doctor as soon as you can to get professional advise. It usually takes a while for your period to become normal again and spotting is often present. But since it's been 8 months without your period I definately don't blame you for worrying. I agree that you should do extensive research about the kind of birth control you were taking and look for simliar stories. Good luck!
