Not Sure if I'm Pregnant or just fat and I'm freaking out!

I would really love some help with this dilemma!

I've been on the pill for almost a year now and my boyfriend and I (stupidly) had unprotected sex a couple months ago. At first I didn't really think much of it because I've been bleeding monthly but it's been lighter than I'm used to. It's been shorter too. I'm just not sure if it's actually my period or just spotting.

Also, I've always been a chubbier girl and tend to gain weight around my tummy. I've just started university this fall too. I've gained a few pounds around my stomach and back but I can't tell if it's actually a pregnant belly or just a bit of that "freshman 15" I've been dreading. I can still suck my belly in and bend it in half if I bend over but I want to know if a pregnant belly can do that too. When I poke it it's soft on top and then it's a bit harder underneath, again, I can't tell if that's pregnancy or some muscles and organs hidden beneath my flab.

I haven't taken a test yet, mostly out of fright and worry. I haven't had any sort of morning sickness or anything but I've heard that that doesn't happen to everybody. I get some days where I feel totally fine and my stomach's flat and others where I'm really self-conscious about it. I know this will sound ridiculous but I'd really love it if someone could talk me through this.

I DONT THINK YOUR PREGNANT .... SOMETIMES OUR HORMONES CAN CHANGE WHILE ON BIRTH CONTROL AND IT CAN SLOW OUR METABOLISM DOWN !

I'm having the same problem! I'm on birth control and have unprotected sex. It's been about 3 months since the last time I had sex. I've gotten 2 periods so far and expecting my 3rd In 2 weeks. My period was lighter than usual and lasted about 3 days. My stomach has been poking out way more than usual and feels a bit weird when I push In? I can still suck in but not completely to where you can see my whole ribcage like I could before. I'm really worried I'm pregnant. The bottom of my stomach feels harder than the top. I'm really not planning on being pregnant right now and I'm scared to take a test.

Going through that right now. I was on the shot for 3 months and I'm off of it now. We're trying to have a kid.

SAME I'm terrified because I'm still so young and I guess the fact that I'm paranoid doesn't help at all. That, and my parents are EXTREMELY religious so they disapprove of premarital sex.

Are you having the lighter bleeding every month? Is it the same time of the month or just anytime here and there.Secondly, pregnancy has more symptoms like nausea, sore breasts,back pain, headache and more. You need to understand those too. Tell us if you are having any or just the bloated stomach?

Again if you are trying to do a pregnancy test ,it might happen that you might not get the correct results for the floowing reasons:

1.You are checking in a very early stage of pregnancy when the HCG level is very ow in your urine and hence the strip will not show the correct result.

2.You have taken a lot of fluid before your test and hence the HCG in your urine has been diluted.You need to do the test with your first urine of the day. That will give you the most accurate result.
