Hi, I'm 17 and have just finished my 1st month packet of the pill. It's a type of pill whose prior concern is the treatment of acne (which I have mildly on my chin) but is also a birth control.

Since I've been on it, I've had breakthrough bleeding every day (like when it's the last day of your period) and, now I'm off it and waiting for my period (I don't know if I'm on it already because of the break-through bleeding anyway), I am discharging elasticated tissue.

I'm really worried and am thinking about stopping the pill. I take it every day in the morning, the same time give or take half an hour or so. I also got really bad, stop-what-your-doing cramps a week before my last pill. On top of that, my spots aren't any better and it's embarrassing because I'm in a relationship and don't want to do anything sexually with this bleeding.

Should I stop the pill? Please help... is this normal??
