I started taking birth control in February, but when I finished, I never got more. My husband and I had sex, unprotected at first but then put a condom on for the last of it. At the end of March, I had a VERY light period and it only lasted about a day. When I was pregnant with my daughter I had severe nausea and mood swings. I'm not having any of that. Just an occasional cramping. But I don't know what I should do. My daughter is 5 months old and I breast feed, I don't know if that matters. Whenever we do have sex I clean myself out thoroughly even though he never came in me. I'm very nervous because I do not want another child right now. Could this just be because of the birth control?

Hello,

the easiest way to know for sure if you're pregnant is simply taking the home pregnancy test - it will save you a lot of stress. But, if I understood correctly, you were on birth control pills only during February. In that case, it's not strange that your period in March was just one day long. Depending on which birth control pill you took and just the fact that you had baby recently, it's really hard to tell is the cramping you're experiencing now caused by your ovulation or incoming period. Your hormones are simply disturbed right now, but like I said - take the pregnancy test to at least cross that worry of the list,

Wish you all the best,

Nicole
