Okay my girlfriend had her period last month and didnt take her birth control during it due to it ran out and she couldnt get a refill. After it stopped she got a refill and took it as normal. We had sex a few times this month and now her period was only one day long with some cramping after but nothing happening. Im worried something might be wrong i dont know if it was cause she missed a week of her pill or if it was something i did. Im a guy so im kinda confused and paranoid so any reply's would help greatly.

Okay well you say that your girlfriend had missed her period (only had it for a day). Not taking birth control everyday like its meant to be makes the birth control less affective. If she only had her period for a day that could either just be spotting. Also if she takes a birth control that doesnt give her her period every month this could just be the affects of her not taking it; kinda like her body is getting use to it again. Now, if you put sex into the equation, because she had sex while missing time on her birth control she could be pregnant (dont worry just yet again its could just be her body getting use to it). Also, if she or anyone in her family has a history of irregular periods this is normal she will miss months and will most likely never be regular. My advice here is to get  her in with her OB/GYN and if she doesnt have one make an appointment with her family doctor and have them recommend an OB/GYN. I hope I was of some help. And if anything happens that you're concerned about please feel free to ask more questions. Have a nice day! And I hope everything goes well with her.

My period lasted for only one day. And I never had sex. Is this normal or should I consult a doctor?
