my boyfriend has one testicle and it doesnt bother me AT ALL and he looks COMPLETELY normal to me. plus he is one of the most amazing people i could ever meet. if you really wanna be with someone please dont just look at ones private part but at ones personality. if you prefer so much men with two testicles because mabe thats "normal" to you, go interview their balls before hooking up with them.
question, if you had ONE boob, and you hear your boyfriend calling you some weird freakazoid, how would that make you feel?
I love my boyfriend for who he is and thats never gonna change. hah (:

My son is 8 months old and the pediatric surgeon made an incision in his scrotum yesterday to confirm that what felt like a pea during prior examinations was indeed his left testacle that had twisted upon descending and caused it to shrivel up.
The doctor said 1 is all my son needs to have a beard, muscles, and a deep voice. In other words, on the surface have all the appearance and assemblage of a man. That was good news.
I then did a search for famous people besides Lance Armstrong who have one testacle. I guess to give my self assurance that my son can grow up and still achieve great things in life despite his uniqueness. I think too, I wanted a list of celebrities so I can include them in my father to son talk in the future when I tell him about his condition and assure him to not view it as a setback.
Then I discovered this forum. I've read this entire thread and have gained immense insight to the psyhcological aspects of this condition. I've been reassured that my son will grow up actively and, if he chooses, be capable of having personal relationships. This forum has set my mind at ease. I don't think my son is grotesque or less manly because of this developmental mishap. I will encourage him during his growing up to embrace his uniqueness and that it shouldn't factor as a growing pain for him.
I was curious, however, if anybody thinks that having only 1 testacle has made them less aggressive. This was a topic that I haven't seen covered.
Thanks to everybody that posted here (except for that shallow OP girl) and has made this DAD see that my son is capable of growing up and leading a rich, complete life.

When I was young, I fell on the from my bicycle and hit the bar in the middle. I don't remember exactly what happened.
However once I got older I realized that I had only one testicle and often used to have pain in my left groin area in the lower abdomen. I really had no clue what had happened.
Only later I realized that one testicle was missing. Now I can feel it up my groin but there is no pain. I am wondering whether to see a doctor. Now I am 23 and have perfectly normal sex life. My gf has no problem either.
Any opinions?

Hi
I understand how worried you are and how scary this can be. I think you should talk about it with your mother/father and arrange to see a doctor as soon as possible. There may be no cause for worry. But if there is something that requires some medication/help the doctor would know what to do. In most cases early detection helps tackle the situation better. if you havent already done something abt it go immediately. Be brave and face it.
As to being a father, men with one testicle are as successful as those with two. Among those that have had to remove both their testicles, there r many who look to save their sperm in a sperm bank and father children in the future. Moreover who said you had to father a child to be a father?! I know many men who have been perfectly capable of fathering a child and still choosing to adopt a baby. They have been great dads.
Dont worry about ur sex drive either. Those with one testicle hardly find any difference as their brain signals that testicle to compensate for the other as well. its like people with one kidney. they have a perfectly normal life. Their one kidney does the work of two. And for those people who dont hv both their testicles, there r options like hormone replacement to improve their sex drive and have a normal sex life (i dont know details about it but hv read that it works).
So do the safe thing by seeing your doctor as soon as possible. He/she'll be able to give you the best information regarding your condition.
Just remember there are thousands of people in this world just like you and you are never alone :)

I too have only one testicle! I had an undecended testicle that stayed in me until when I was 10, which was when my last remaining testicle twisted inside the sac (Yes, that was just as painful as it sounds). So I had surgery to stitch it to the side so the little bastard doesnt do that again. My friends found out about this around the same time (because I told them). I wasn't embarassed at all. They would tease me about it but I really didn't care because I knew it wasn't a big deal. Some kids decided to say the same stuff over and over again but others actually came up with some pretty clever stuff. My personal favorite was "The one nut wonder." "testi-one" and "uni-baller" were some other good ones. That experience prepared me for the rest of my life when someone finds out about it. I am now 17.
The only thing is, I am worried that something will happen to my last remaining little friend. I am afraid that some freak accident will render me nutless. There is nothing worse than a flat sac flapping in the breeze. My biggest fear, though, is getting testicular cancer. But unnecessary fears aside, the most important thing to remember if you have one ball hangin' there is: there are other people out there in the same boat as you and you should have a sense of humor about the subject. I do and it has served me well so far. Good luck to everyone out there with the same condition.

Hi, I have had one testicle since I was 10. I am 30 now and have led a happy normal life and wife dosen't care about it at all. People who have one testicle should not let it affect there sexual life. My one word of advice is, Don't fell embarrassed or tell anyone at school.

You should use extra caution and protection for your one ball. Freeze and bank some of your sperm if you can afford to do that, or as soon as you can afford to. Wear a jockstrap and hard jock cup for any rough sports and dangerous work conditions to help protect it, especially since he is now sewn into place and can't slide around free to dodge daily hits and pinches like free floating balls can. I had testicular torsion too, OUCH !!! I didn't lose my balls yet. I wear jockstraps every day now to protect my nuts. Dr.s orders for me to wear a jockstrap all day and every day for life ( but I can go without the hard cups when I'm not in sports or rough working duties). So I'm in jocks all day and sleep nude every night to let my balls breathe freely when its all safe and to let them get some freedom.
