Hello. I would like to find out more about this delicate and pretty weird condition. Just recently I have found out that my boyfriend has only one testicle. You can't imagine how terrified I was when I discover it. It seamed to me like he is some kind of freak, but he told me it is completely normal and that it is like that since he was born.
How could this be truth?
I have never seen anything like it or heard about such condition.
It looks really weird and I was hopping that someone could explain me more about this condition. Is there anything he could do to make this more bearable and esthetic?

Hello. First I want to tell you that I don’t approve your behavior at all. I just hope you didn’t tell your boyfriend about how he looks like a freak to you. Yes, this condition is possible and very common and he didn’t lye you anything. The condition is called undescended testicle and has two possible scenarios. The testicle is completely missing or it may be felt as a lump in the groin.
I don’t know which of these two your boyfriend’s case is but he should contact his urologist anyway.
First, an undescended testicle is more likely to develop cancer than a normal testicle if he stayed in abdomen. Other thing- he should ask the urologist about having an artificial implant to give the appearance and feel of a normal testicle.

Hi, I'm 25 and have lived my whole life with just one testicle. I've never felt ashamed or worried about it. I've also never had any trouble with sex, or felt any less of a man because of it. Some girls haven't even noticed. My body produces plenty of testosterone and I'm in no way a physical or emotional freak. The only problem would be if one day I met someone like you.

Thank you so much for these posts.

My 20 month old son has had two operations and we have been told that he only has one testicle.

Me and my husband have been worried sick about it then to top that, I read the girls posting. Lets hope my son doesn't meet idiots like her when he is older.

Thank you so much to the other posters for easing my mind.

I've got an undescended testicle and it has never been a problem. Growing up I did feel some embarassment with it but now that i'm older and sexually active, I'm almost proud of it. It's different, I've never had a bad reaction to it from girls or mates, and some girls have actually found it very interesting.

yes i also have only one testicle, this hapend after an accident - when i was 10 years of age. now being 40+ most of my childhood and lower teens were filled with constant humiliation and bullying. i felt there was no one i could talk to as i felt everyone made me ashamed of what had happend to me. people like the first poster destroy lives.. i know i still live with the constant feelings of when i had new sexual partners in the past, these were very few and far between.

When i was around the age of 9 i was kicked in the testicles but then seemed to be fine afterwards. When i was around 13 i started having a little swelling on one side but never told my parents every thing was fine untill i was at the age of 19 i married young and bought a home and was moveing a washer and dryer and it became imflamed so then i went to the Dr. the folling monday they had to remove one and said the the veins was twisted around was not getting any circulation, they also told me that a testicle could live up to 8 hours without oxygen. SO PARENTS TALK to your kids about getting kicked and letting letting you know so you can have it checked out. i am now 32 and 2 years i have had a prosthetic in place. cost me $1,200. not coverd on ins. with this it put the real back on the right side instead of hanging down the middle. 8)

and i have absolutely no problem with it at all, if anything it makes him more special and unique. I havent really talked much about it with him, but whatever he chooses to do im guna be there 100%. The first poster, that disgusted me, you really need to learn to be a bit more open minded, no one is perfect!

i have just come back from the operation theatre after my 10 month old boy had surgery and has had his left hand side testicle removed, the doctors did say it may be possible that the testicle may just need lowering but they discovered it was dead. After a very emotional night i've logged on and have come by this post. I have gained some kind of confidence that my son will not be left out in any way.

Regards

hi, i have just recently been seeing a guy with one testicle...he was compleatly honest with me and told me everything which i appreciatied. at first i was a bit shocked as i had never known anyone with one, but now it doesnt bother me, they say it doesnt affect having children so thats all that matters. having one or two, doesnt matter...doesnt change the person you are! plus people dont choose things like that...its nature.
