I am 46 year old male and I have medical problem I would like to discuss with you. I have had cold like symptoms that lasted for a week. After medications I thought that I should be ok, but instead sinusitis came. Along with that some strange pain along the sternum and emerging of a palpable area at sternum. Doctor listened my lungs but with no findings. I take ibuprofen, but the pain is still here. What to do? Is this maybe ostochondritis or pleurisy?

I think that there are several possibilities here. You could suffer from costochondritis, maybe you have even broke a rib or two. Pulled muscles could also be the cause of your troubles. And yes, it is really possible that you have broken a rib during strong coughing. I am certain that another visit to a doctor, perhaps X-ray of your torso will clear things up. Do that, results will surely come.
