My son is 3 yrs old...for the past 4 weeks he has been complaining that his penis is "bothering" him. I ask him what it feels like and he can not explain it. I can only tell you how he reacts when this is happening. He flops around like a fish and pulls the penis, trying to inflict pain, which he says will make it stop. It is bad when he has to lie still to go to sleep. He basically tries to keep moving around to avoid the feeling. I've been to doctors and they cannot see anything wrong. He has had no tests, but I think it is time to get more intrusive analysis done. What should I do...or do you know what this could be.

Did you ever figure out what it was that was causing your son the discomfort? My six year old has been going through the same thing for a couple of weeks now. He doesn't have any other symptoms. I will not be happy if I take him to the Dr. and they say that nothing is wrong with him. He is not the kind of child that complains much. I know that something is wrong.
