It's like no matter how much I read up on these topics I can never be comfortable enough to assure myself that everything's okay. I've read several articles and testimonials yet I still find myself worried. Mainly because everyone is different and just because it went well for one person doesn't necessarily mean it will go well for you. But I had an abortion on September 25th 2013. And right now I'm just hoping everything went well. I had very little bleeding on the day of but after that I had no bleeding. I did however have some cramping, breast, and leg pains (the same pains I had during the pregnancy and when I get my period) but this morning I woke up to some bleeding. It wasn't heavy but it was a brownish color which I've found to be normal. I know these pains will continue as the hormones have not released from my body yet but at this point I'm just wondering if the lack of bleeding is normal. I've read articles that said some people bleed heavily, lightly, or not at all. Maybe I'm just paranoid but any feedback will help! Thanks dolls:))

Hi Guest,
If you had a surgical abortion then a lack of bleeding is common. The fetus is usually removed by vacuum aspiration so the contents are contained. Spotting/light bleeding is normal.
In a chemical or medical abortion, then the drugs induce a miscarriage. Significant bleeding and heavy cramping is MUCH more common.
Hope it helps.
