I had my abortion 5 days ago, and yesterday I was experiencing cramping in the morning, no bleeding or discharge, and then later on around 2 had a fever of 101 that subsided by 7 o'clock... I was fine for the rest of the night and my body temp was back around 98-99. Was fine this morning but now have extreme cramping again with bleeding and my body temperature is normal... I was worried yesterday that I had an infection but now feel sick, almost like I'm going into labor and having contractions. I feel slightly light headed as well. I've taken all my medication and followed all their precautions... could this be an infection or just my body reacting to the abortion?

I am by no means a doctor but i have had 2 abortions and the after effects were completly different , first one was normal healed up just fine, but the second time was horrible, i bled heavy for about 2 weeks and felt like i was in labor but to make a long story short i was back to normal after about 3 weeks but i was in alot of pain during the healing process. If you keep getting a fever you should def go to a hospital, they might have not cleaned you out well enough which in return would explain an infection which could end up very badly. I know this is a very late response but it might be helpful to someone out there. I wish you the best and hope everything turns out to be ok.
