is it normal to have precum just when mildly sexually excited? as in quite a bit coming out?

It's perfectly normal. And it varies, sometimes we ooze with very little excitement and sometimes it takes more. And sometimes there is more precum than others. Every guy is different, some don't appear to precum at all. Just go with it, that's just how we function. :-D
