Prenatal vitamins can cause all kinds of problems. My wife was getting horrible cystic acne from the ones her doctor prescribed. There are too many people that have terrible side effects and the only thing they changed is starting to take prenatals for it to be coincidence. Try natural prenatals instead of prescription ones. The prescription ones have all kinds of binders and agents that are unhealthy. Don't believe the people that purport the FDA's propaganda about them. Prenatal Vitamins are not your friend.

Prenatal Vitamins can give you severe headaches. Me personally, after 2 days, I noticed it, and immediately stopped taking them. Talk to your doctor, and find an alternative. Medications cause side effects, so you have to know what works for you. If your body is signaling you with headaches, then something ain't right girlfriend, and if it ain't right for you, then you'd better know it ain't right for your baby either. God placed the unborn child in the mother's womb to be nourished through her body. Think about that. Ask questions and take time to find out what some pharmaceutical company has concocted in that little bottle of horse pills, and remember, that kind of entity operates on a bottom line...profit..($$$$)....not your individual wellness.

Yes! I have the same problem! Massive headaches that are really strange in location. Last night I woke up because it was so intense. I too think the prenatals that I was just given correlate with the headaches because as soon as I started taking the prenatals was the onset of the headaches. I am taking "Prenatal + DHA". Anyone else have these problems?

Starting taking prenatal + DHA and I have noticed that for the past week since i started taking them that i have a slight headache every day. i wouldnt characterize them as a migraine, more annoying than anything. I googled the combination and it seems i may be correct to think they are the cause. I am not pregnant, just prepping my body to become pregnant. Since the DHA may be more specific for the baby, maybe I'll cut that out and see if it helps with the headaches.

I have been taking prenatal vitamins since late October...my husband and I are trying to get pregnant, but I have noticed that I have been gaining weight....Only when I was taking the vitamins didi I notice this...Do these vitamins cause weight gain and do they prohibit you from losing the weight that you gained? I am so confused!!

I just figured out that I'm having the same problem. I've been taking prenatal for a few months and I've gained weight too. Your not Alone. But I don't know what else to do?

The same has happened to me i started taking them to increase my iron, I'm borderline anemic. I also believed they helped my hair grow longer and healthier, but I have gained 25 pounds in the last year! Didn't think it was the pills until now

I usually take them before I go to sleep with food. I was so nauseous and had frequent headaches, that i quit taking the vitamins. I stopped for about 2 weeks. No more nausea or headaches. I started taking them again 3 days ago... super nauseous and headache that is so strong that it wakes me up....
I think I will switch to normal vitamins. I eat healthy anyways and women have had babies without these vitamins since forever.....

The pre-natal vitamins have a warning on them. Headaches are one of the side effects if you are having an allergic reaction. Change brands to see if that helps. Many women have a reaction to the iron content that is inside of them. Or the dye they use. Contact your Doctor this type of reaction does not go away. The headaches actually will get stronger as you use it.

If you can not find a brand at your hospital pharmacy try going to a health food store. Get one that has a lower iron content. America is all about the iron and it can be toxic if it is given to someone that has issues with it.

I am male and not taking Prenatal vitamins but I do get massive headaches from taking multi-vitamins. I have read that Niacin may be the cause. I would consult a doctor, pharmasist or nutritionalist to see what could be the root cause. I took mine before bed with a small snack and I would wake with a pressing headache that even an overdose of Ibuprofin wouldn't get rid of.

i really believe this as well.  I started getting headaches when taking prenatals.  I never get headaches, the thought come to my head that maybe it's the vitamins.  I stopped taking them and they're gone. Coincidence? I think not!!!   It's money, money, money.  If u eat as healthy as you can while being pregnant I believe that's good enough.

Omega 3 (DHA & EPA) & Prenatal vitamins

A week ago I started taking Garden of Life prenatal pills with Garden of Life Ocean Omega 3 (450mg DHA per serving). I've noticed I've had a headache everyday since I started, so I lowered my dose 2 days ago and today I have the worst headache yet. As of right now I have decided to completely quit taking these vitamins and they will be returned to the seller.

I am not pregnant, but I started taking prenatal vitamins for hair growth (as silly as it sounds, it works!) but as soon as I started taking them I began to have daily headaches and the day that I didn't take them, I felt perfectly fine. I don't know why they cause such bad headaches, but they definitely do!

Side effects of prenatal vitamins may include headaches, fatigue, and nausea. In most cases, the side effects are minor and can easily be treated. However, you should contact your healthcare provider immediately if you develop more serious side effects, such as severe nausea or vomiting, unusual bruising or bleeding, or signs of an allergic reaction.

MY HUSBAND AND I ARE TRYING TO GET PREGNANT BUT I HAVE ENDOMETRIOSIS AND I'M GLUTEN INTOLERANT SO I WAS VERY CAREFUL ABOUT THE BRAND PRENATAL I PURCHASED. ITS VITAMIN CODE RAW PRENATAL, VEGETARIAN, GLUTEN FREE, AND ORGANIC. I JUST REALIZED THAT IM GETTING SEVERE MIGRAINES AND SINUS PAIN ABOUT 15 MINUTES AFTER I TAKE THEM. I FEEL LIKE IM AT A LOSS. WITH MY ENDOMETRIOSIS THE ODDS ARE ALREADY AGAINST ME TO CONCEIVE. ANY SUGGESTIONS WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I have endometriosis, one ovary, and I'm 39. I just had a baby boy in August. Most women actually have endometriosis and don't even know it. Don't worry too much about it because it will just make it more difficult to conceive.

I am taking NOW prenatal vitamins + DHA and have been getting headaches leading to migraines. They won't go away and it's hard for me to try and relax at night. I toss and turn before I sleep. It ruins my appetite as well. Nauseous throughout the day too. I haven't really been feeling bad but once I started taking prenatal, I've been feeling sick lately. I am in my first trimester and am feeling like I can't even go on through the day because of this feeling. I try to drink organic ginger tea to make the nausea go away. Helps a little.
