Hi, I to have been diagnosed with a paralysed diaphragm which was the result of bowel surgery two and a half years ago.
I am due to have surgery to correct this problem in early October. I have found it extremly hard to breath on exertion and in particular when swimming.
I would like to hear from anyone who has had this operation to find out how long the recovery takes as I am a scaffolder which is quite a physical job. I also have a holiday booked eight weeks later.

Be happy that you were at least diagnosed and are receiving treatment. Here's a thread that may be helpful. You're having a plication? Expect some improvement but no miracles.
