I've been through every test and medicine for treatment of nausea and heartburn, but have not read until now that it could be caused from my paralyzed diaphragm which I think is caused by my inherited Fascioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy.  The doctors do not think the muscular dystrophy is the cause of the paralyzed diaphragm, but I've read that it can be a cause, plus they can't find anything else that could possibly be the cause.  My biggest problem now is constant nausea when I eat anything and extreme heartburn.  What kind of doctor would I see to suggest the paralyzed diaphragm is causing my nausea, etc.?  I at the end of my rope dealing with this extreme nausea.  I can't vomit due to reflux surgery (Nissen Fundoplication) I had in 2005.
