I have been taking Allegra-D 24 hour pills for the last 40 plus days due to sinus and allergies. I was wondering every time its about time to take another pill being 24 hours I get a headache for the last 2 weeks. I was wondering is this due to rebounding headaches or is it due to I still am having allergy problems?

Just my personal experience with Allegra, but Allegra and Allegra D both gave me headaches and did nothing to make my allergy symptoms better. Perhaps the medication is actually giving you the headache. Might be worth trying a different kind of decongestant to see if that is the problem. Also, I notice with any decongestant I tend to get dehydrated faster. Are you drinking enough water? Dehydration, even mild, can give you headaches.

Do you know why this is? I noticed that I also get headaches with ALlegra. Do you think that it's a genetic thing? I assume that it is but I'm not totally sure, and I haven't talked to my doctor about it...

@ bluedog: I think it's just a side effect some of us get. Fortunately other antihistamines/decongestants do work for me w/ out trouble. Claratin/Claratin D, Zyrtec, Sudafed.
