I am 74 years old and still very active in sex about three times a week
I had the penis pump implant a year ago or so.
Can this thing be removed?
Penis is shorter now and will not stay hard long when I get it there..
Please reply--I have heard about a shot I could get after I get it taken out
It would add an in or more and also get hard which is what I want of course

Oh if I only had this information before I got mine put in. Your story, your description could be mine with one exception. I was implanted sometime in the early 90's. This was before the advent of the internet and viagra. I had a mentor implant. Along with all the associated issues you described, I started having rejection issues at about the 1&1/2 year point. It wasn't infection, it was out and out rejection. My scrotum was particularly affected. I started developing a terrible rash that eventually became just like having shingles. I became so inflammed that the entire scrotum and the base of my penis became one big oozing scab. My scrotum would crack, ooze clear platlet like substance and bleed. It would stick to my shorts and was pure Hell taking my shorts off. Summertime heat and sweat made work impossible I had to take a medical leave from work and there was no choice except to be explanted. After that was done and some healing I returned to work. My sex life has been non-existant since. Nothing works. For me an orgasm is but a distant memory. I have almost no sensitivity left. Testosterone is just a curse that thankfully has finally declined in my later years. Depression is a constant companion that has affected every aspect of my life.

The sad part in all this is the fact that my initial ED was early onset undiagnoised coronary artery disease. I was 39-40 years old then. I went to 3 different attorney's to see if there was any recourse as I felt that the doctor committed malpractice by his nearly total lack of complete information on the post effects except the normal info about infections etc. No luck! They all told me that any hope of compensation was 99.9% impossible.

To anyone who has a doctor advising to get an implant is to not walk out of the office, instead please "Run for your Life"!!!

Don't know if you read my post, but many similar issues. I have searched for untold hours looking for the same answer. In short, all the answers point to the same conclusion. Unfortuantly, it seems that once the damage has been done, there's little recourse. I know this doesn't help. That sais, I did find what seems to be the formost research institute in the U.S. It's the San Diego Sexual Medicine. If there is an answer, they will have it.

Give it some time; I'm no cheerleader but it has been a Godsend. Had pyonnes, two scared ares grafted and the AMC 700. I have it less than a year, girth much larger obviously so say partner) length same or slightly elongated. No issues, waited 9 weeks after surgery, sensitivity great but achieving ejaculation long time or every couple days.

Well worth it to me and a 5 min pump up hard to expand scar tissue is working great. Coming up on a year.
My girl broke it but my good urologist fixed it.
Cheers

This post sounds like a paid commercial. You are one of the very few that didn't lose any length or girth. My Doc even said I may gain some length and girth. Men hear regaining or gaining some length and girth and they ask no more questions. Don't believe the hype

I had the procedure done about 4 years ago and I have been regretting it not because it is giving me any problems but because I did not trust God. For a very long time in my mind sex was very important to me, it was the one of the single most things that I was preoccupied with but I was foolish and did not seek wise counsel. I was in a marriage with a younger woman who I never should have been in from the beginning my ego and my desire to remain amorous took control of my logic. I went against everything that I believe in. The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and I lost sight of that and got the surgery with knowledge that it would be temporary I was given detour signs but I forged ahead foolishly. To date through the grace of God I have not had any apparent issues that I am aware of, if it is doing something deleteriously to my immune system I really am not sure. But one thing that I am sure of is this, if I had the opportunity to not get this surgery I would have not gotten it. It was very reassuring to read the post about having the implant removed and just go back to where I was previously, not getting as firm an erection as I had gotten previously but not being able to wake up with no natural erection is rather disconcerting at best. I would say to anyone who is considering this procedure DON'T DO IT! Not because it does not work but because it is somewhat embarrassing having that foreign object in the testicle area and also when I inflate the device I feel a twinge in my side that is very uncomfortable. And I would say lastly that TRUST GOD NOT MAN! There are all types of herbal remedies that can address the deficiencies that has contributed to this malady in the first place.

I've had MS for approximately 50 years. I also had surgeries prior to MS. My brother also had MS. In all my readings and discussions I don't believe your surgery had any affect on you getting MS.

My original implant was great and leaked and failed year 8.
The replacement malfunctioned month 3.
1) the saline bladder sadly popped stitches day 3 and budges by the pelvis.
2) it worked but seemed slow to force saline up into storage
3) suddenly totally un functional month 3. No leaks, just the bulb won’t refill after 1 press.
I suspect (and perhaps feel) a twisted plastic line just in front of the switch unit.
I have a consultation in 3 weeks. Any suggestions?

I had the pump style implant put in in January. The swelling was horrible and now the swelling on the left side has gone down, but the right side is swelled up still and here it is March. I think the swelling is in the Pudendal artery because when I feel the ball that is swelled up and trace it, it goes down and under between my legs and back to the buttocks area. When I sit down I can feel the pain between my legs going back to the buttocks area. Am I correct on it being the Pudendal artery? Why would this happen? Now the doctor wants to remove the device. can someone enlighten me as to why this swelling has not went down?
